Product Features
Overall sizing is 12-3/4″ wide x 5-5/8″ high. Duct fitting protrudes 4-7/8″ from back of cap to allow proper fit to the ductwork (NOT for use with dryer venting)
Equipped with a spring-loaded backdraft damper and bird screen to keep nests and small animals on the outside
Wall cap is made of 24 gauge CRCQ steel construction with a black electrically-bonded epoxy finish for durability and long life
This worked well to vent a new over the range microwave to the outside. The horizontal dimension of the duct on this is actually about 10.25 inches so that when it mates with a standard 3×10 duct from the inside there is a gap which I caulked with high temp silicone to prevent air leakage. However, the extra .25 inch makes it easier to place the cap duct over the interior duct. One of the “big box” stores had a similar heavy duty cap which had a longer duct which might work better for…
