The truth about Emerson Microwave I was in the market for a new microwave oven, not because my old one had died, but I just wanted something a little larger with more power. The power price and size where what I was looking for on this oven. But I kept reading intermittent bad reviews on it. Very good microwave and convection First off, our 2nd Kenmore (ugh) microwave/convection that we had for just two years made a loud bang and stopped. Our new Emerson arrived a week ahead of the scheduled date! I was thrilled because our regular oven doesn’t heat up when it’s really hot outside. Anyway, the only sort-of issue that I have with my new Emerson is that it only heats the convection oven up to 425 degrees. My Kenmores heated to 450 degrees. Oh well.
