I listened to bad reviews for no reason UPDATED WITH CUT APART PICTURES OF EVERY DROP FILTER- still just charcoal in a sock ;)There are many recent poor reviews of this product since the changes made to the filter packaging in winter 2015. Being a diligent Amazoner I listened and ordered the “old” 4396810 blue filter from another source that appeared to have back stock. Well they sent me the new filters! So I gave it a try.The packaging mentions it is still a PUR licensed filter. I popped it in, ran out a…
UPDATE 07/07/2017: Water is no longer salty!! So it took about a month of use for the salty taste to dissolve.Original review: Installation went smoothly. Only complaint is that I now have salty ice and water even after flushing over 5 gallons through the filter. I am hoping that it will get less salty. It isn’t that bad, but I had friends over and they could taste it and made comments which was kind of annoying. My sink water tastes far less salty. Even though it’s salty, it does…
