Worth the premium price The flow rate on this filter (0.8gpm) is so much better than the generic replacement I had bought while trying to save money (0.5gpm,) that it’s easily worth the premium price (and this Amazon price is better than I found anywhere else.) I had a store brand filter from T H*ME D**OT in my Maytag french door refrigerator. This seems to be the preferred quality filter for my Maytag model MFI2568AES and it is the filter type that was in the fridge when we bought the house. I looked at the cheaper filters but I decided against risking the purity of my drinking water. The water and ice with this filter taste great and that is why I gave it five stars. In my opinion you can save yourself the web surfing time and just get this filter if it fits your refrigerator. The filter in my fridge is located on the inside top…
