It just works The design by the dishwasher manufacturer makes this part susceptible to breaking because the end with the single hole / eyelet attaches to a bolt head, and the cable bends about 90 degrees to where it goes over the plastic / nylon pulley wheel. I suspect that there is something wrong with the door opening/limit mechanism that allows the door to open too far before it stops, thereby putting extra load on the cable-spring counterbalance parts.)it’s fairly easy to replace, and this part is the same as the original.
