Replace em every 5 years I had read that the most common reason for water damage in your house was old washer inlet hoses breaking. While I was troubleshooting another washer problem (nice that GE has troubleshooting info on their website), I realized that our washer was just about 5 years old, just when they recommended to replace the inlet hoses.
