Insulation strip worthless Worked fine until the insulating strip along door edge began to come apart. It did not come unglued, it came apart, with nothing more than very, very modest usage of the fridge.I bought this as a little fridge to keep sandwiches and bottles of water cold. Safety Hazard – produces way too much HEAT – I suspect that a refurbished defective item was sold as “new”
UPDATE: After a few months of use, I find that this mini fridge produces an excessive amount of heat. Since I have it in a small room (10′ x 12′), this fridge keeps the whole room uncomfortably warm. It’s like having a heater turned on 24 / 7. The sides of the fridge feel very hot to the touch. The fridge runs frequently and gets so hot on the outside (top and both sides) that it can burn a person’s hand. This is extremely unsafe, and I suspect the seller of selling refurbished defective models…
