A half gallon fits on the door plus a 20oz bottle of soda. The freezer holds about a weeks worth for two people. It is deep enough to hold full size ice cube trays but only comes with a tiny little 8 cube ice tray. It seems sturdy and keeps things cold without having to crank it up the entire way.
