This unit was a direct replacement for the blown heater on my 13 year old Roper dryer. I’d give it 5 star except there were two issues that I thought were significant enough to warrant a downgrade.1st, it wasn’t perfectly clear to me which thermostat was which. The two coming out looked different. The two that came with this kit looked the same. There were some markings, but not as clear as they could have been. Further, the thermostats are the same size and can be installed either…
This is the correct part and appears to be sufficiently solid. However, I deduct two stars because the package had been opened and some of the little pieces like wire connectors and screws were missing. Because of this I had to go buy additional parts. If I had the time and inclination, I’d return it and have them send me one that has not been ransacked.Other than that, it works fine.A warning to those reading about, or experiencing, burned wires.
