Coating coming off, food sticks to bottom. I start off by saying rice is a staple in my house. (Rice & gungo peas, anyone?) I have used this for the last 2 months, atleast once a week & occasionally twice a week if I only made a small batch of rice. It works great, 5 stars as of right now & I can’t make any serious complaints against it. It does what its supposed to do, save me time & cooks my rice to perfection while I sleep or work.I will say this though. It is just a rice steamer, meaning the water is not going to be…
The first one I received had a lid that would not latch securely. I sent it back and received a new one. The lid was fine on the second one I received. After a few months of just cooking white rice, the nonstick surface of the pan is starting to come off. My rice sticks to the bottom of the pan after each use. It takes soaking in warm soapy water for a bit for it to come off. I always use a soft cloth to clean the pan and never any metal utensils or brushes. I will not be buying this…
As a wholeâ this machine surpassed all of my expectations, it makes quality rice much faster than our 10 year old Aroma rice cooker did, and the slow cooker feature works great. I’m extremely pleased I was able to replace my 2 broken appliances with 1 unit. I would have given it a 5 star review, however my only grip with the unit is that the “feet” are rounded plastic as opposed to something with a little grip to it like my previous models had.
