Six years and still crushing small ice cubes After 6 years of heavy usage, it’s still working! I was looking for something specifically to make post workout smoothies. The old blender I had was a pain to clean so I went on a search. Amazon was offering this for 29 bucks with the measuring/mixing cup which made it an easy choice.I go to the gym between 3-5 days a week on average. Cheap Plastic Gears Stripped I ironically posted a very favorable review just a few days ago…but, this morning I was using the blender to make a smoothie and had the (brilliant, I thought) idea to throw a few dried blueberries in it. Well the blueberries jammed the blade and stripped out the cheap cheap cheap plastic gears, making the blender totally useless. Blueberries!!!???Shame on you, Cuisinart!
