Previously I had an expensive board (with a thick pad, a built-in outlet for an iron), but this one is more convenient to me. adjustable height ironing board I really needed a full size ironing board and this one had good ratings, so that weighed into my decision. It is exactly what I wanted. I will say that I did order another cover for it – a non-stick thicker pad. The one that comes with it is very, very thin and NOT non-stick.
