I thought it was just a bad filter. Sent it back an ordered another one I bought this filter thru amazon because it was much cheaper than directly through sears. First filter made the water black at first. Figured it was the carbon even though it never happened from sears. It cleared up after purging it for a while. But then the same day it clogged up. Good OEM Replacement Ordered directly from Amazon via Prime and it matched the OEM one which it replaced at almost half the cost which other retailers were selling this for. It is doing it’s job, removing the chlorine taste from the water. It can’t do anything for hardness or for TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) as those are directly related to the source of the water.
