This redesign makes the foot mechanism much more efficient and replaces the flimsy spring that actuates the switch. Hint, you must take the compactor top and face frame off as well as replacing the switch with the one supplied in the kit. I did not use the new black plastic bottom shield as it didn’t fit and wasn’t needed–The original worked just fine. It must be a generic piece for some other model…The only trouble I had was the cheap sheet metal screws supplied to install…
