Scotsman CU50PA Self Contained Gourmet Ice Maker, Air Condenser, 65 lb. Production, 26 lb. Storage

Can’t recommend for residential use, but mostly great for commercial I’ve had experiences with two CU50’s, one with gravity drain, one with pump. The good first:I love the machine, it is a commercial model and dramatically easier to break down and clean than your traditional consumer ice machine. The cubes are created by spraying water upward into bell-shaped holes that are cooled to freezing so the water adheres and the cubes form. When the freeze cycle has completed, the compressor reverses and sends heat to the molds, then the cubes drop out…

Initial impressions….meh, OK so far

On my third ice maker. First one came with the ’91 build house and a Whirlpool still working in the garage but not matching the new kit. remodel. Second was a Kitchen Aid stainless for the remodel and was junk. Lasted a couple years before having to toss it. Couldn’t be repaired for less than the value.
