You can renew thee by putting them outdoors in the sun I am so glad that Amazon carries these. My Simple Human can came with a little contraption that holds these filters on the inner lid. These little carbon sponges work their magic in the can by somehow capturing whatever stinkitude that is living in my garbage. I love them and would not be without.Also, I noticed that Simple Human makes the contraption that holds this particular filter so that it adheres to a surface of your choosing.
