I replaced my old Insinkerator Badger disposal (piece of junk, sprang a leak after only 3 1/2 years) with a new Waste King L-8000. This adapter let me easily attach the new disposal, which uses the EZ mount, to the Badger’s 3 bolt mount, which was already attached to the sink.I think the negative reviews come from people not understanding when this adapter is needed and when it is not. It’s really all a matter of what this does and whether you WANT this adapter.Any new disposal will come with a mounting system so that you won’t NEED this adapter. Does a great job for what I bought it to do I bought the Waste King L-8000 garbage disposal to replace what was likely the original unit in my house. After getting the replacement in-house I started doing some preliminary work on what I would need to do to get it working (and the leaking unit out). I realized I needed this adapter and ordered it (Thank you Amazon Prime for two-day delivery!) and so far it’s been doing a great job of keeping the stuff in my sink from going anywhere besides the disposal unit.
