My washing machine spins again!! My washing machine spinner stopped working. I called the washing machine repair service and they said $75 to walk in the door and additional for time and parts. I watched a youtube video of possible DIY fixes and discovered that the coupler was probably the culprit. Sure enough I saw a piece of white plastic on the floor when I moved it. With the help of youtube I was able to change the piece for a few dollars and I didn’t even break a nail. Best money spent ever. Product works perfectly…
Replacement 285753A – Washer Motor /Transmission Coupling I received the replacement (“Jason” branded) coupling in good order – the shipping/delivery time was less than a week. Upon receipt of this new part, I removed the original (failed) one from the washer motor and transmission shafts, and installed the replacement. It was necessary to lightly tap the coupling end-pieces onto the motor and transmission shafts using a hammer and drive socket, due to the interference fit. I would note that, in my case, the OEM coupling functioned nominally…
