I started trouble shooting the possible causes and figured by the time I got done replacing the various parts the rebuilt ice maker would cost $500 or more. I bought this as an exact replacement for my original one which lasted about a dozen years, maybe 15 tops. It was easy to remove and install–just loosen 3 screws and unplug it. There is no water connection to worry about. The water just pours in from the back of the freezer from an electrical command given by the unit. Luckily I saved my old unit while waiting for the new one to arrive because the unit does NOT include the Shut-Off Arm. It says so in the instruction sheet that it is NOT…
