1 X Switch Lid for Whirlpool 8318084

Fixed it myself I have a Roper top load washing machine and this sucker is abour 13 years old. Never had a problem with it. Normally it cuts off after it fills up with the water and won’t run until I’ve closed the lid. But then it just started running the whole cycle with the lid up. I also noticed a slight chlorine/chemical smell when I would run it. After removing the old lid switch assembly (which didn’t appear broken at all) and installing this part, my washer was still not working properly when I closed the lid. When I would engage the switch myself, the washer did work.
