I bought this based on the reviews I’d seen. I’m not sure if I even needed to replace my original, but I wasn’t getting ice so I got both the solenoid valve and new maker (honestly, it was probably the valve due to a catastrophic water softener failure with resin beads).I received the ice maker, and learned quickly that it’s not hard at all. Perfect fit, Looks just like the original, excellent price, easy install, started producing ice after a few hours, much quieter the original and arrived on time. Someone wrote in a review that this ice maker was slower that the original and I will agree, it seems to produce ice at a slower rate, however even with a house of five people we have never be able to use ice as fast at our ice machine.
