Cooks almost anything! I use this rice cooker for cooking a lot more than rice. It is small enough for cooking for one person for three or four servings of whatever it is you’re making. I have made pasta, soups and brown rice in this. All of them came out great. As a bonus, you can use the steamer as a strainer for your pasta. The only thing I noticed is that the cooker will continue to say it’s heating up when the soups and pasta are already done, so I continually keep an eye on the food when I’m cooking it to check…
