This seems to be the preferred quality filter for my Maytag model MFI2568AES and it is the filter type that was in the fridge when we bought the house. I looked at the cheaper filters but I decided against risking the purity of my drinking water. The water and ice with this filter taste great and that is why I gave it five stars.
