I have now been using it for several months. I do not understand the negatives about the speed. I use low speed to combine my ingredients and have never had a splash over. Best mixer for the money! I love it! My other mixer died while mixing Christmas cookie dough. So I needed a mixer with more power that could mix heavy dough.
