The backdraft damper is well made and well balanced. It is a weighted door and closes with no return spring. The material is esily cut with tin snips. There is no mesh to protect against birds, but there is not much of a surface for the birds to nest in. The unit came to me with the end of the duct dented. Fortunately I had to snip off the last inch or so to fit it, so I did not have any problems.The unit does not come with any mounting screws. The folding of the border is not…
