Good wall cap This vent hood is far superior than any I’ve looked at. Heavy, solid, easily installed and not plastic. Reasonable price. Should last for the duration. The door is weighted and balanced perfectly to keep it from banging during a windstorm. The duct allows a greater volume of air to be expelled than our previous cheap plastic hood, making the Broan range hood even quieter than it was. The backdraft damper is well made and well balanced. It is a weighted door and closes with no return spring. The material is esily cut with tin snips. There is no mesh to protect against birds, but there is not much of a surface for the birds to nest in. The unit came to me with the end of the duct dented. Fortunately I had to snip off the last inch or so to fit it, so I did not have any problems.The unit does not come with any mounting screws. The folding of the border is not…
