First, circled in red is the pipe coming down from the other side of the sink, which goes into a T which is where the drain from the disposal connects. I had an old Hydro Maid that lasted for over 15 years. When I could not find parts for it, I turned to this unit. It does seem to work very well. My wife loves it. It is louder then the old Hydro Maid, but then any of the electric would be, and a lot quitter then my father in-laws. I think it was worth the money. I do not expect it to last as long as the Hydro Maid, but it seems well built. It was easy to install, about 15 to 20 minutes, also fitting a switch and dish washer hose. It is heavy…
