This 4″ Dryer Vent Seal from Lambro replaces conventional dryer vent hoods. The floating shuttle is designed to remain closed unless the dryer is in use. A positive seal keeps cold or hot air out as well as unwanted pests. It is made of white ABS plastic and can be painted to match any home.

Looks like this design has been ruined by manufacturers. Have had models like this for over 10 years. I hit the first one with a mower . Now on my 4th in the past 3 years. They get cheaper and thinner plastic – and now bake to a brittle consistency in a season or two. Broke the most recent one just trying to get the top off to clean. It lasted less than a year. It works well, but only after slight modification. I was having trouble with humid air getting into my dryer; if I forgot about a load of clothes overnight, it would be damp and musty in the morning, and obviously need to be washed again. Even without laundry in the dryer, the door was covered in condensation in the morning. This was caused by the flapper on the outside of the house no longer sealing properly and thus needed to be replaced.
