Good disposal, great value, but different collar than Insinkerator I bought the 9980 because I thought it would use the same collar as my old Badger and would be a 10 minute install. It’s not. The whole collar assembly is different, so you still have to pull everything apart and start over with a bare sink. In the past, I have replaced other Insinkerator disposals with new ones and didn’t have to touch the collar – you just screw the old one off, screw the new one on, and you’re basically done. Happy with disposal I purchased this after our Badger rusted out in several spots leaking into our cabinet. The old Badger only lasted about 5 years. After reading a ton of reviews and searching- I decided to try the Waste King 9980. The deciding factor for me was the Lifetime Warranty!
