Good buy, great price for 900 cfm. As a design professional, I spent a long time looking for the right hood that wouldnât break the bank. My considerations were; stainless steel for 9â ceilings, 36â wide, (my range is 30â so I wanted 3â overhang on both sides to catch the smoke), 900 cfm, (generally I operate it on the lower settings since 900 cfm setting is overkill for a typical residential use), not too loud, ( this one is around 55 decibels at the max speed), oil catcher, steel baffles instead of a mesh so that it could be…
Worth every penny! I did a lot of research before buying this hood. It’s a Pro-Series with 4 speeds and at high speed (55 decibels) you can still have a normal volume conversation standing at the stove. Very heavy 19 gauge stainless steel – the hood weighs about 50 lbs. Mine came with halogen lights; I called them and for $20 they sent me the LED lights. I also ordered the optional stainless steel crown moulding to finish it off. This hood is definitely a focal point in my new kitchen with all the features…
recommend for ceilings LESS than 9 ft. Really wish the chimney had more “wiggle” room for 9′ ceilings. The chimney are in two 15 7/8 in pieces. I would have loved the chimney pieces to be about half an inch taller for an additional one in total. The current setup has my chimney just ONE inch short of to the ceiling. The hood is 12 1/2 inches and attaches to the wall via two screws that are 1 1/2 inch ABOVE the hood (total 14 inches; however the 1 1/2 inch does get covered by the chimney. . The instructions shows…
