Fan is wired backwards I think this unit gives improved air flow, I just can’t really tell. Before installing unit, it tells you to clean the vent line, mine was 23 feet long and half plugged. So after cleaning it, it obviously has better flow, I am just not sure the fan is doing a lot. Two issues I did have. One, I called the service guy and he was not very friendly and did not ask enough questions to get accurate information to give proper advice, then he was short tempered with me. I like it — but the install was a pain. This dryer booster definitely lives up to its claim of being able to vent a 65ft. line, but the installation was a pain. Let me list the challenges that I had: (1) dryer booster stands on 3 rubber-tipped feet. Mine were loose so I tightened them but they wouldn’t stay tight (causing the booster fan to tilt). I finally had to use some larger self-tapping sheet metal screws to tighten the legs. (2) there’s some kind of position switch in the fan that detects if the fan is tilted. If tilted, the…
Very pleased so far I installed this booster about two months ago. It works well so far. My dryer vent goes straight up through the roof about 20 feet, so I needed something that would assist the dryers’ blower for that distance since I’ve had to replace my dryer’s’ heating element twice. I installed this in my attic upside down because of the air flow direction. I chose this product because of its design to reduce the chance of lint clog and because it is activated by pressure instead of current. Current would…
