Does what its supposed to. The item was received earlier than the delivery date. It was packaged neatly and securely. It was an exact duplicate of the one I was replacing, although I didn’t recognize that immediately. The old one was so worn that I thought the opening was supposed to be as wide as the old one. When I removed the two pieces from the box the plastic stopper was very loose in the rubber splash guard. I thought it was not going to work, but once the splash guard is in place in the sink drain the stopper fits perfectly. It works great an as intended. Does not leak water as the worn original did. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because the original lasted 25 years, and I need to wait and see how this is going to hold up. I have no reason to think it won’t last, but I…
