Works well. Hard to clean. I have only used for rice and steel cut oatmeal so far. It cooks both easily and well, but starchy water sputters out of the vent on the top and runs down the outside, even when cooking just 2 cups of dry rice. The lid and gasket are not removable, making it hard to clean the gasket and impossible to clean under/behind the perforated metal baffle inside the lid.
