Not just for LG.. First off, this filter replaces the one in our Kenmore Microwave. The Sears website lists it for almost $25.00. Amazon didn’t show any results for Kenmore filters so I scrolled through the available filters to find one similar. When I saw this, it looked the same. The measurements were identical then I noticed that the part number was the same as listed for the Kenmore filter. I ordered it and it is the exact same filter in every way. Side by side, all the numbers and letters match up…
A necessary item If there was an appliance police, I’d be arrested. This was the first carbon filter change we’ve done in over 2 years.To change it: 1) Remove the phillips screw on the top of microwave, front left side (likely need a step stool to see it properly). 2) Open the microwave door and slide the interior upper black plastic vent housing to your left. 3) Vent housing will now lift out. 4) Pull the old carbon filter out by lifting up on the bottom. 5) reassemble in reverse order…
