Super Effective but not for the Technology buffs I am shocked at the negative reviews. It’s a simple piece of equipment and it’s mechanism is tolerant of high heat plus it’s washable and is an inexpensive fix to a costly problem when a built in microwave turntable dies. The complaints that it’s junk seem baseless in that it’s not high-tech. It’s a manual operation and requires a little effort… just a little. To prevent overwinding, I never wind mine all the way, I just wind it loosely with 3 fingers each time and I’ve always have plenty…
It stopped working, but NordicWare customer service was excellent I have had the Micro go Round for about one year. When using it, one has to be careful not to over-wind it. Some reviewers have said one can wind as many as 20 full rotations, but I never wound my unit more than 10 full rotations. For the first 6-9 months it worked as advertised, but recently it would no longer rotate when weighted, and it could not be wound.
