Works perfect in my new Gun Safe! So I got this for my new Bighorn 19ecb gun safe from Costco … it seems to work perfect. I do not like how you attach the power wire at all and it kinda weird to figure out to start off with but kinda figured it out after staring at it for a few (directions kinda stink). You have no clue if it is working until later on when you can feel the slight head coming from the top .. they really need to at least add a tiny LED power light. I ran power in my safe so I cut the wire short and just plugged…
Good reduction in humidity, a bit larger than the Golden Rod. I’ve been using a golden rod for the last couple of years, but went out to the safe a few days ago and had a panic attack when I found some light surface rust in the barrel of my Garand. After resolving that issue, fortunately without permanent damage, I started poking around for something that might do better. The reviews seemed to be good for longevity, but didn’t see any data on actual humidity reduction, so I’ll share what I found.Here in Northern California, the humidity level…
Works fine but poor a/c plug I’ve needed something to keep the moisture out of the gun safe for a long time. This works fine. I guess high end types of dehumidifiers might sense humidity level and shut off when not needed, but this works fine for the price. I’d rate it higher (for the price) except that the a/c plug that comes with it for the user to install did not contact the wires. It is not on the cord when it comes, as shown, so the cord can be fed through a small hole drilled through the safe’s wall or floor)…
